Be a poll worker






Poll workers are responsible for opening and closing the polling place, checking in voters, and helping voters with any issues that come up on Election Day.

Who is eligible
  • You must be a registered voter in Mercer County to be a poll worker.

Apply to be a poll worker
  • Contact the Mercer County Voters Office or your Political Executive Committee and let them know you are interested in being a poll worker. 
  • If you are chosen to be a poll worker, the Voters Office will send you a letter asking if you want to accept the position.

Poll worker pay
  • Mercer County poll workers are paid $130 for working on Election Day and $50 for attending the poll school class.
